For the end of the year show at Cooper Union, I exhibited a collection of all the flower vases owned by the art office. The vases had been used in flower displays for exhibitions held at the school, yet never noticed as part of the exhibition. Many of the vases had been brought by parents for their children's graduating exhibitions and left to the school after the shows were over and the the flowers dead. The vases had not been washed and still showed water stains, with leaves and dirt still clinging to the glass.
